Nathaniel Pinkney Memorial Scholarship Fund

Nathaniel Pinkney, Jr., known to everyone in Teamsters Local 813 as "Nat" passed on March 11, 2005 after a sudden brief illness. Nat was a Business Agent and a Trustee on the Local 813 Executive Board. He served as a Trustee on the Local 27 Welfare and Pension Trust Funds.

Nat championed the rights of the working man. His quiet nature and quick smile were his calling card. Nat was truly an advocate in securing and defending Local 813 members at their job. More importantly, he was their friend.

Shortly after Nat's passing, to honor his service to Local 813, a decision was made by the Executive Board to rename the Local 813 Scholarship Fund to the Nathaniel Pinkney Jr., Memorial Scholarship Fund. Nathaniel Pinkney, Jr., will always be remembered fondly.
